If I Were a Covert Narcissist, I'd Break Her From the Inside Out.
If I Were a Covert Narcissist, — I'd Break Her From the Inside Out.
I'd destroy her slowly-with confusion, guilt, and control.
Here's exactly how l'd do it:
1. l'd Play the Victim
No matter what happens, l'd make her feel like she hurt me. I'd cry, sulk, or shut down so she'd be the one apologizing-every time.
2. I'd Twist the Truth
If she caught me lying, l'd say she "misunderstood." If she brought up something I said, l'd claim she's imagining things.
Eventually, she'd doubt her own memory.
3. I'd Make Her Feel Like the Toxic One
I'd say things like, "You're always overreacting," or "You're too emotional." I'd provoke her, then act calm while she cries-so she looks like the unstable one.
4. I'd Give Just Enough to Keep Her Hoping
I'd love bomb her when she pulls away. Say just the right things to make her think I care. Then I'd go back to withholding, blaming, and gaslighting.
5. I'd Subtly Isolate Her
I wouldn't forbid her from seeing people-l'd just make her feel guilty when she does. I'd tell her, "They don't really care about you like I do." Eventually, l'd be all she has.
6. I'd Use Her Empathy Against Her
I'd tell her my trauma stories, my pain, my wounds. I'd make her feel like leaving me would make her heartless. And the more she loved me, the more l'd take.
That's how covert narcissistic abuse works.
No bruises. Just emotional chaos and psychological warfare.
If this feels familiar—it wasn't your fault.
You weren't too sensitive.
You were targeted because you love deeply.
And you can heal.
