Narcissists Claim They Hate Drama - But They're the Ones Stirring the Pot

Narcissists love to say they hate drama. They'll roll their eyes, play the victim, and act like they just want peace. But if you look closely, they're often the ones quietly fuelling the chaos.

They provoke, then sit back and act innocent when the explosion happens. They gossip, twist words, and subtly pit people against each other - all while claiming to be above it all.

Why? Because drama gives them control. It keeps people distracted, off-balance, and emotionally reactive. That's where a narcissist thrives.

When you're constantly defending yourself, explaining your actions, or managing conflict they created, you're too exhausted to question their behaviour. And when the blame gets passed around, they know how to spin the narrative just enough to come out looking like the calm, rational one.

It's not that they hate drama. They hate being exposed.

So next time a narcissist says, "I can't stand drama," watch what they do — not what they say. Because often, they're the puppet master behind the scenes, pulling every string.
